2014 brought altogether 1700 students to Tartu who participated in many
different sports.
Four different countries host SELL Student Games intermittently – Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. These countries are connected through a long history of hosting the games. However, they are also connected by something else – the history of Vikings, pirates, sailors, smugglers and tough fishermen. According to tradition, every SELL game has a bit of sea included in one way or another, and Tartu is no exception either.
From the 16th to 18th of May 1500 students conquer Tartu. Among them you can find top athletes as well as good sportsmen. SELL Student Games are organized under the patronage of The International University Sports Federation, European University Sports Association and Estonian Olympic Committee and like them, SELL Games also stand for pure and honest sport and for that we are collaborating with Estonian Antidoping Agency.
This time the biggest delegation from Lithuania participated in the Games - 399. The medals table of Lithuanian universities as follows:
